Sorry it has taken me so long to blog again. I have literally been completely stuck on what to write about next. There are so many situations going on worldwide and it is all quite confusing.

My overwhelming feeling right now is that I don’t think things are working out in the way that we (those of us that are interested in Christian Eschatology) have assumed it would. Of course if that is true, then it is completely in keeping with God’s character. His ways are so far above our ways, and His ways are unsearchable. Yet His desire is for us to constantly continue to search. He doesn’t require that we know, but His will is for us to search. As I said in a previous blog, prophecy is only completely understood in hindsight. Much is speculation as we search the scriptures. Discerning between the literal and the symbolic, which scriptures refer to the past and which scriptures refer to future, and the ones that were meant for the generation that existed during the prophets writings have overwhelmed even the most studied theologian. With that in mind, how can we, as lay people, ever hope to understand? My answer is two-fold. First, truly, we cannot, but we can ask God for wisdom, and have an ever watchful frame of mind. Second, God uses the foolish to confound the wise. So, with that mentality, I am being watchful, and I know that many times over the years, God has shown me things that have worked out exactly as I thought it would, so that I know He can indeed use the foolish things (me).
